That light may be late!

Nationwide component shortage is affecting light fixture delivery.

.
Strange things are afoot in the world of lighting. There is currently a nationwide shortage of capacitors and integrated circuits for electronic ballasts. Fixture lead times have jumped from 2-weeks to 6-weeks for many common fixtures. The problem was initial only T-5 ballast, but is spreading to T-8 and may begin to affect other types of lighting as well. If you are getting ready to place an order make sure you double check your dates and order soon as this is affecting the entire industry during a very busy time of year.

The Rialto building at 116 New Montgomery barely survived the 1906 earthquake. A picture of the building as a shell is hanging in the recently renovated lobby. The Rialto has once again been reborn. Over the past two years the building has seen a host of new tenants thanks to the efforts of the Bomel Companies, the primary building owner, and Charlie Withers with The CAC Group. 116 New Montgomery is currently 96% occupied by a mix of retail, office and high tech tenants. The building has just donned a new badge in the form of an Energy Star displayed in the renovated lobby. RN Field has been part of the team since 2008 starting with the renovation of the lobby and second floor. The improvements have been extensive and widely varied including original stone brought back from the basement and the latest LED lighting from a new Bay Area company. It is great to see this historic building still enjoying life here in San Francisco.

RN Field is putting together our team for this years Wine Country Ride To Defeat ALS. (more)

September 25, 2010

It is time to start thinking about good quality time in the Napa Valley. This year the ride will be held on September 25. The distances will be the same as last year with 10, 25, 62 & 91 mile routes. All the other stuff that make this a great ride, breakfast, lunch, refreshments, rest stops not to mention the worlds best porta-potties will all be part of the event. The best part is the feeling you get knowing that you are contributing to such a great cause for such a devastating disease.

This ride is the biggest fund raiser for ALS. The average cost to care for a patient is $200,000 per year. Because the population of patients remains low (they all die) the government does not allocate many resources to research or patient care.

Please join the team and forward this to anyone that you think might be interested.

This is the link that will get you started.
