2010 ALS ride

September 25, 2010

It is time to start thinking about good quality time in the Napa Valley. This year the ride will be held on September 25. The distances will be the same as last year with 10, 25, 62 & 91 mile routes. All the other stuff that make this a great ride, breakfast, lunch, refreshments, rest stops not to mention the worlds best porta-potties will all be part of the event. The best part is the feeling you get knowing that you are contributing to such a great cause for such a devastating disease.

This ride is the biggest fund raiser for ALS. The average cost to care for a patient is $200,000 per year. Because the population of patients remains low (they all die) the government does not allocate many resources to research or patient care.
