Relocating mechanical and electrical systems to create the illusion of an unobstructed open working environment in an exposed plenum.
The intent of the design was to use the ceiling system, in lieu of walls, to distinguish work areas. We really achieved the effect. The result was an open workspace where it is easy to move employees from desk to desk. It was a challenge and a unique approach to a standard tenant floor. The toughest last minute challenge was a two piece wooden shuffleboard table ordered by the tenant. When it arrived they discovered it would not fit in the elevator. RN Field came to the rescue and our labor foreman and the superintendent carried the table sections up the eleven flights of stairs. Problem solved.
